IMO, Jeremy was our leader by example this past season. He wasn't selfish and he didn't force near as many bad shots as DR in critical parts of key games. IMO, Sam will be a great emotional leader and AW can fill the leader by example role.

[QUOTE=Mike Radigan;79638]Just my humble opinion, but this past season BU lacked a leader and I think we need someone to step up and fill that role early.
In South Padre I was elected/appointed as the "Director of excitement"......will that help.
OK probably not......to me its Singh. Even though he isn't a starter he is ALWAYS into the game and is usually the first guy off the bench to greet the guys during a timeout.

I like the idea of Sam Singh as a captain. He would be a very good and deserving captain. I brought up Maniscalco for captain for the obvious outward leadership he shows.. and.... Assuming TW and AW are captains next year; Maniscalco as a captain would give us a Senior, Junior, and a Sophomore as captains which I think would provide continuity to the team leadership for future years.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

I think the appointment was primarily because of your constant courtside chatter with the officials, opposing coaches and players during the tournament. Hard to ignore your comments when there's only 100 people in attendance at the game!

Hey one of the requirements is you must be vocal....so I got THAT covered. I know if nothing else it agitated those two Iowa chicks...

Sam M will be that vocal leader. AW is a great player. But Sam M has the characteristics of a natural leader. I agree with those who pointed out that when DR was gone we was the leader then. Moreso than even JC. I love JC but he was not the leader he needed to be when ruffin was out. Sam stepped up and played his @$$ off for a freshamn and really did nearly will us to two victories. Sam outworks and outhustles everyone on the court and that will get him the respect he needs, even if he is a sophmore. He may not even be a captain, but he will be THE leader. In the words of many esteemed posters.... 'BOOK IT!'

The first time I agree with eveybody
SS could be that off court leader mentor person. He is willing to sacrafice for the good of the team and to me that is great leadership. SM will be that vocal leader on the court and he should as our PG. AW will lead by example on and off the court and beside JL urging him on he has a great support group behind him that can bring the whole team together."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
