  • Antiquan Beckham Verbals to Mississippi State

I know there's already a thread going but it is on the recruiting forum, and not nearly as many people will see it....

Twanny Beckham decides to go to MSU even though they are already stacked at the 2-guard position.
Ben Hansbrough just left, but they still have Jamont Gordon and several other SG's.

"Beckham, who is regarded as a three-star prospect, picked MSU over late interest from Virginia,
Indiana and Tennessee. Bradley, UAB and St. John's were involved with his recruitment as well."

    This one hurts a bit.
Beckham is exactly the kind of 4-year athlete that we need to start winning the recruiting battles for. A good three-star HS player that gets legitimate interest/offers from decent, but not the premier, BCS schools...
Oh well...hopefully Les can fill that last spot with a comparable 4-year player...there are a number of good ones still out there...

Good luck to Twany at MSU...I think Isiah Nunn would look good in BU red!

Agree ER3, but in all honesty, Larry Anderson was and is the person I was pulling for. I dont know much about him, but from what I have read, Isiah Nunn looks like a good fit as well.
        Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Yeah...Anderson or Nunn would be two of the "good ones" that are still out there. I'd be really happy with either of them...

            Disappointing, but not surprising.
