        2008-2009 roster as of 4-15-09
        5-10 Cole-Scott
        5-10 McCain
        5-11 Maniscalco
        6-0 Norris
        6-2 Dunson
        6-4 Roberts
        6-5 Warren
        6-5 Wilson
        6-7 Thornton
        6-7 Austin
        6-9 Singh
        6-9 Egolf
        6-10 Thompson
        7-0 Collins
This team has plenty of size but we are going to have to sign some bigs next year as we will lose 4 of our bigs after this season.(austin, singh, collins, wilson)

The coaches have to be banking on Thompson and Egolf.

For the record, I have a hard time considering Wilson a "big". I do agree, however, that the five scholarships for the 2009-2010 season need to include a couple of true "bigs", hopefully one JUCO and one freshman.

I to have a hard time considering TW a big! He plays with alot of heart but often this yr. got bet and got tired (fatigued) playing with the bigs. He sould be a 3 where he can help this team and show his real game! TW is 6'5" and AW is 6'5" why do we not consider AW a big?????
              Playing out of postion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That also means that the 250 pound 6'8 forward on the other team has to guard TW. That's a pivotal matchup, and we need TW to win it. I like TW as a player, but if he will be the major impact player that some people on this board consider he will be next year, he needs to win that matchup consistently.

We may have a lot of big bodies but not what I would call next level talent at the 4 or 5. TW on a great team would be playing the 2-3 slasher. Imagine TW and AW playing the 2-3 roles. Talk about match ups. We need a real 4 guy that loves to bang and rebound! If we had that I'd be satidfied with what DC and AT brings to the table.

Well there is a simple answer to this that will allow TW to play the 3....

Recruit someone with talent who is taller than 5'11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sure would help with rebounding and give us more options on both ends of the court............................................. ..

We need to recruit more then 2 bigs next year as we are losing 3 players that are 6-9 or taller; I prefer to get at least 2 freshman and only go for a jr. college player if he can make an impact immediately , we need to start putting together 3 freshman recruits each season so we can be more consistent and not have to replace so many players each year.

I agree with you completely about next year's class. But I strongly believe that we should have at least one player in this year's class who is not a guard to give this team consistency for the next couple of years. Overloading one recruiting class with guards and the next class with bigs, does not give us consistency for the long term.

As it stands right now after next yr. AT & WE will be the only two players coming back over 6'7" and there is only one 6'7" and thats RT. I can't believe that we didn't get a 4yr. BIG this yr. It may still happen if someone leaves and the JL has his eyes on one.

Think about this......how easy will it be for JL to recruit big guys next year.....

Hey Mr 6'8" - 6'11" solid post player....we have a ton of playing time just waiting for you. We have a bunch of play making guards that can shoot it and open up the inside for you...we have new faciliteis and an awesome fan base......

now if we can add another NCAA journey along with the above!

yep koolaid drinking in this beautiful weather......
