Send a Message of Congrats to Mo

tornado

New member
I am going to send a message, and since Jim Molinari hasn't yet got an e mail address at WIU,
send it via the WIU Athletic Director, Tim Van Alstine

Here is his e mail address.......
[email protected]

The other assistsants are all still in place at WIU, so I wonder if Mo will be keeping any or who he will hire as assistant coaches.
Might he hire some high school head coach from the Peoria area, in order to get in on the Peoria talent?
One of the present assistants is Rodney Perry, a player from Missouri State in 1992 that Mo is likely familiar with.

I have already received a return message thanking me for my message to Mo,
and assuring me the message will be passed on to him.

One other thing, showing how much BIAS still exists vs. Molinari, as fine of a man as he is, right here in Peoria.

Even though the "other message board" rarely has much on college basketball, BU, or other topics, there was a thread on Mo being hired but it quickly turns negative
predicting he will use the position to unfairly give his own son playing time ahead of "more deserving" players!!

I responded with a simple, polite comment about how such Hall of Fame coaches as Bobby Knight, Tubby Smith, Eddie Sutton, Lon Kruger, Joe B. Hall, Nolan Richardson, Bruce Pearl, etc....all had their own sons play for them, and I can't recall any such controversy developing. Guess what....?
My post in defense of Mo, got deleted..oh well.......
Murph..........I feel your pain........

T, you can't serve Kool-Aide over there. Think of them like the New York Times. Don't expect any positive articles on the war efforts - don't expect anything positive on anything related to Bradley.

;)

I must have missed that thread T because I didn't see anything negatuive regarding Mo and Billy. The question was brought up if he would recruit him or not but I didn't see anything negative about it. now there was a couple of threads so maybe I missed it.
Great for MO...and I have another favorite college team to add to my list.
BU,U of I,Louisville, and WIU.
I think he will be able to get WIU to compete well in that conference very soon.
I'm sure I'll make the trip a few times to Macomb

The more I read posts like this, the more I like you. You seem like the type of person who would agree with me on many matters.

By the way, excuse the ignorance, but what is the "other board"? PJS?

Hey-- keep the discussion on topic, any use of phrases like "bad" or "not DI caliber" are not going to be allowed.

By the way, some of the articles on Mo say he has 25, 26 or so years of experience, but Jim
started as an assistant with Ray Meyer at DePaul in 1977-1978, as soon as he entered law school at DePaul,
and has been in the coaching field or scouting field ever since, so that makes 31 years of experience.

Also-- Mo's graduation rate is in excess of 90% as documented many times.
http://www.macombjournal.com/articles/2008/04/11/sports/sports2.txt

this rate is higher than Bobby Knight and higher than any present coach in the MVC,
and definitely higher than Gary Williams and Kelvin Sampson.
