Six Pack Smitty made # 4
Interesting to see that Greg Smith was # 4. Here was a guy that had a great Soph year. Not sure what his Junior numbers were, but his Senior year was terrible. Lot's of 3 second calls in the lane. He lived on my floor in the dorm....... Nice guy though. What year did 6 Pack Smitty play?

That talk about Smith remided me of how people talked about how good Ken Garrett was then poof he quit the team and was never heard from again. I think he quit/was asked to leave during the first year of Versace, might have been the second year either.

Greg Smith played from 1972-73 through 1975-76.
He is the #25 All Time scorer in Bradley history with 1,215 career point.
You are right that he had a great sophomore year and a pretty good junior year, but fell way off his senior season. That year, 1975-76, Bradley was lead by senior Mike Davis with 20.0 ppg and a junior Roger Phegley with 17.3 ppg.
Here are Greg Smith's numbers--
Year........pct....points...avg
72-72....0.465....160.....9.0- played in 21 games for varsity, and 5 for JV
73-74....0.519....485....17.9- lead team in scoring
74-75....0.560....380....14.6- 2nd in scoring behind Mike Davis 18.0 ppg
75-76...............160......6.2
And, yes, Ken Garrett was brought in by Joe Stowell, but played in 1978-79 under Dick Verace. He was a senior in 1979-80, but quit the team about 10 games into the season.

I know this is a name some would like to forget, but what about Tim "The Rim" Robinson? (429 pts.; 223 reb.) What happened to him after he left BU?

I'd like to see us talking about DSE at the end of next season about what a nice soph. season he had. I don't expect his numbers to be overly impressive, but solid, considering we have many talented guards who can score.
I think he'll only avg. about 8 ppg, but he does the intangibles that help the team win and shows a lot of poise for an underclassman.
He has potential to be MVC 1st team his junior year IMO.
