  • POB's new team

Now that Patrick has officially left BU, where does everyone think he'll play? My best guess is he'll end up with the Celtics, but I'd like to see him as a Bull. I think he would be a perfect fit for the young Bulls and should have no trouble beating out Tyson Chandler. Just think if the Bulls still had Brand instead of Chandler!

Regardless of where he goes, I will root for him. Good luck Patrick!

As well as others. But where do you think he'll end up and where would you like to see him?

with all the hype pob is receiving i doubt he is available for the hornets pick. I would like to see him in Boston. He has a similar game to robert parish. He kin of reminds me of him, how about you guys? Also, would the Bostonians love PATRICK O'BRYANT? A 7 footer with an irish name. It's a perfect fit.

It all depends on what happens tuesday night, i'm starting to get lottery fever. I would love to see him go to the Bulls, but if not there I would like to see him go anywhere that he will get PT his first year, and being on a competitive team would be a bonus too.

In this list of early entrants to the NBA, CBS Sportsline's Gregg Doyel compares POB to Sagana Diop--

Diop, who's correct name is Desagana Diop, was drafted out of high school (Oak Hill academy prep school) in 2001 as the #8 overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers. After 4 forgettable seasons with the Cavaliers, he played a minor role for the Dallas Mavericks this season. He has averaged 1.8 ppg in his 5 year NBA career, and has never scored more than 8 points in a game.

Complete career NBA stats for the Sacramento Kings Guard Henry Turner on ESPN. Includes points, rebounds, and assists.

I hope POB's career is better than this overpaid NBA stiff. He was paid $2,695,164 by Cleveland in 2005, for his season total of 40 points. His 2005-2006 salary for Dallas is listed as $3,633,082.

Here is an article that suggests that the Utah Jazz could be interested in POB. See the next-to-last paragraph of the article--

I think it's a fair comparison, but POB's 2 years of college has put him worlds above Diop.

It seems I have heard OB is all but guaranteed to be taken by the Rockets, Hornets, Sixers, and now the Celtics. I would LOVE for him to fall to the Bulls. Does anyone think he looks a lot like Tyson Chandler? I was constantly reminded of that when they would show closeups of Tyson during the series with the Heat.

Having watched Diop all season and currently in the OT vs Tim Duncan I'd think POB would be glad to be compared to him with no exerience at all. Diop plays a ferocious defense and in this league of Star Treatment he hasn't really earned any calls. The last 5 trips down the court against Duncan tonight however might change that a bit. I think Patrick will be a much better offensive player than Diop in the long run as his entire offensive game is put backs and dunks off pick and rolls. POB already can do those things.

Diop was the reason the Mavs won in OT tonight. He was huge in making Duncan take contested shots and making him miss easy ones. Reminded me a lot of what O'Bryant did to Gray in the Pittsburg game.

Da Bulls end up with the 2nd and 16th picks. Their first pick has to be Tyrus Thomas, LaMarcus Aldridge, or Adam Morrison. I would love to see them take Morrison at 2 and POB at 16. Morrison is a prolific scorer who needs help on defense. POB adds the defense and Morrision gives POB time to develop offensively. It makes for a great tandem to go along with the young Bulls.

i would love to see POB as a Bull, however I dont see him dropping that far. However, ESPN didnt have POB in their top 14 picks of the draft so maybe I'm wrong about this.

I can't believe the Bulls would pass on POB if he was still there at 16 since they already have so many guards unless they plan on getting a big name free agent big man next year.

I believe Garnett is a free agent can anyone confirm that? I know its either this year or next

Morrison can help the Bulls right away.
So can Thomas, but the Bulls cannot afford to use a #2 pick on a prospect or a talent that's 2-3 years away.
