That's what I was thinking, man, Gus Johnson's head might've exploded if he got a chance to make the call on Chalmer's game tying 3!

And in reference to my earlier post, here is Billy Packer's quote at the 3:29 mark of the second half:

"Kansas knows what it's like to be in an overtime game in a championship, the triple overtimer they lost to North Carolina in 1957"

Where do I start to rip the idiocy of that statement? I'll give it a shot:
*NONE of the Kansas players were alive in 1957
*Bill Self (and I'm pretty sure the rest of the coaching staff) wasn't alive in 1957
*Doc Brown's DeLorean Time Machine does not exist, so they couldn't have gone back in time to experience it, either.
*Any players, coaches, fans, or any other individual that actually did experience the 1957 championship cannot magically transmit their thoughts and experiences to this squad, unless the University of Kansas has somehow secretly discovered telepathy and managed to keep it hidden from the world, only to pull it out to win a basketball National Championship.

If anybody else has anything to add, please feel free to add to this list.....
A real fan celebrates the successes, but also acknowledges the failures of his team.

I hardly can remember my 40's!

He is a clown and Nantz isn't much better- and why do the tv announcers do the intros? Crazy
I don't think even Packer would remember the 40's even though he was probably born then!

I think you covered it all.

And Packer replied,"What are they doing? Don't they know the rules require them to jump center after a made basket?"

My favorite Billy Packer moment was this year in the Michigan State/Memphis game. After getting down big MSU ran off 16 straight points, which prompted Packer to note that "John Calipari can't like the way Memphis is trading baskets."

Even David Stern chimes in on Mr Packer.

Aha!! we have confirmation that Billy Packer harbors a lifelong grudge against the NBA dating to when he finished college
and nobody in the NBA coulda' cared less, and nobody gave him a chance to play in the NBA!!
