  • Anyone staying in Tulsa?

Just wanted to let any overnighters know if they still need rooms in Tulsa that you might try priceline. I got the Crowne Plaza in downtown Tulsa 3 miles from Reynolds Center for $48. Just bid on 3 stars and downtown area.

$48 is a great price for that hotel.

The best part of that hotel is its proximity to watering holes. I highly recommend McNellies. It's right down the street and they have an incredible beer selection. There a few other restaurants and watering holes in that vicinity too.

I usually start bidding at $35.00. I almost always get a room at that rate.

Thanks for the suggestion....OB and I plan on arriving in Tulsa around 3pm.

What about a good place to grab a bite before the game. I'm guessing we will just do the burger thing (not Mcdonalds type thank you). Is this McNellies ok for that also.

I'll have to try this "beer" thing you are talking about to...sounds good.

McNellie's does have some pretty good food.

Another option: Across the street and owned by the same guy is a good mexican restaurant called El Guapo's. If the weather's nice there's a rooftop patio on the third floor with a great view of downtown.

Both McNellie's and El Guapo's are at First and Elgin.

You know what I love about this thread?

A Braves fan in Tulsa and a Saluki fan are helping out a Braves fan in Peoria.

Another good dining option downtown if you like Italian is the Spaghetti Warehouse. It's at 221 E. Brady Street.

                              I second that recommendation.
