PA Paul Announcement

Two questions:

1. At the under 8 timeout in the second half, what did he mean when he said Paul Schaffer has left the building?

2. He told the fans to remain put after the game for a special announcement. He then said the game will be televised on FCS and there were possibilities for viewing parties. Was that the special announcement?

I missed #1.

#2, I held on for it... and the band was doing it's regular postgame playing, which then got cut off for him to speak...

I thought we were gonna hear some earth-shattering news....

But no.

He offered up info about the road trip to Tulsa for Friday's game I think - that was the main thing.

But so, IMO... I think it was just to keep at least 8000 fans there til the end.

But nothing wrong with that. It looked like most were staying anyway.

I think there was intent to have the seniors speak to the crowd, but by the time the TV interviews were over, most of the fans had left.

Schafer was never IN the building last night as he's stuck down in Brazil, working for some large, local earth-moving company...

Must have been some inside joke or something. I know he and PA Paul are good friends!
