That whole program is in complete turmoil right now. Why is Dackich even acting coach? They're in the process of hiring someone else yet he's still there kicking players off the team? How far IU has fallen ...

Kelvin Sampson recruited a total of ten players to IU who have enrolled so far,

Jordan Crawford - still at IU, a pretty good prospect
      Jamarcus Ellis - gone
Eric Gordon - likely will be gone to NBA
Eli Holman - has barely played yet, has serious academic issues
Brandon McGee - played the least of any non-redshirt, scholarship player
DeAndre Thomas - still at IU
      Armon Bassett - gone
Xavier Keeling - played one year then left
      Lance Stemler - will graduate
Mike White - still at IU, not playing much

therefore, his graduation rate at best will be only 60% among the players he coached, but it is actually quite likely to be less, as some of the remaining players almost certainly won't graduate.

Rumor has it that Norman Dale is going to be the next coach for the Hoosiers. The only hold-up to signing the contract is that he also wants to bring one of his key assistants, Wilbur "Shooter" Flatch.

Should have known better then to question you guys.

Honestly, the reason I visit here is that you guys do the best job of updating news around the MVC of any of the boards. Keep it up...

I'll agree with everything DJA says.....this board is great for keeping up with all the MVC news....I've even found info about new Drake commitments on this board before the info was even on the Drake board or ValleyTalk.

While we're "kissin'-up" I'll add that this board has increased my knowledge and interest in Bradley basketball significantly...........as well as my knowledge of the college game and other teams.

In fact, I've never been a member of The Chiefs (can't call it Braves ) Club but am planning to join now...............all thanks to my increased interest and desire to support "The Program" and University.

Keep up the good work tornado, da coach, and all of the Moderators!

I knew there was a reason we liked the Bluejay fans!!
You're always welcome and add your thought...by the way, I thought your
"P is leaving" thread was funny!
I have to honestly say, of all the fans around the league, time and time again I feel the Jays fans, Drake fans, and Sycamore fans are just the best and most polite.
I really don't have too much issue with the rest, but there are a few stories with fans from the other locations, including the Saluki guy who tried last month for half the game at the MVC tourney to get someone to throw us out of our seats near his precious maroon section that wasn't even remotely filled because SIU wasn't even playing that session.

Now CBS is reporting that the two dismissed players missed an appointment to meet with the coach, then when they were given laps to run as punishment, neither of the players would run the laps, and refused, therefore prompting their dismissal by Dakich.
If this is the case, then Crean would be a fool to reinstate them.

"... it's uncertain whether Bassett and Ellis, two of the starting guards, will return after being punished for missing an appointment last week. When they didn't show up to run laps the next day, Dakich decided to dismiss them from the team."

Scout's honor? Off the record, I think that maybe the biggest thing to ever happen to Indiana basketball.
