  • Question for someone who was there

Was DC tired or was JL preventing him from playing?

he was obviously doing pretty good, but he only played 8 minutes.

just wanted to know what it seemed like in tulsa. (it was hard to tell from the tv @ BW's)

    same question with RA too.
Gloria: Who's side are you on?
Jay: She's my daughter, you're my wife. Let's remember what's important, there's a football game on today

He was getting fouls called on him early. He did not appear tired.

i also saw him altering shots and providing a legitimate low-post scoring threat.

considering how outrebounded we were last night, I hardly think DC was less effective than the rest of our frontcourt.

I was less than impressed with Collins and felt he was again dominated by the opposing team's big man. Until he learns to REACT once the shot goes up so that he can get a rebound he will forever be lost. He just does not appear to "get it" and does not show any "natural" basketball skills or knowledge. I'm afraid he is destined to be just another insignificant 7-footer in BU basketball history (excluding POB). I really don't think he can be taught what doesn't come naturally -- instinct.

          that's a good call
as much as Salley's #'s were up and looked good...he was still getting dominated and Theron was no where to be seen both rebounds and scoring

Speaking as someone who was at the game, a couple things--

The announced attendance was about 7,300, a pretty good crowd. But there looked to be no more than 150 students. The fans who were there we very in to the game.
They had a pep band that was comprised of about 1/3 as many members as Bradley's band, but they were very good.

Unfortunately, for all the great fans and sportsmanship I saw, there were 2 students who apparently look up to the inspiration of the Illinois State students. 2 kids in front of the student section had t-shirts on- one said the trite "Buck Fra..ley" (really original!), and the other had "Bradley $uckzz".
Say whatever you want about the Bradley students, but they are a lot more original, courteous, and respectful than kids like those.

Other than those 2, their crowd was great.

I have to agree with you. He was lost behind the crowd again. I know he had that 1 slam and some people were in all over it but that was it. He had 2 fouls for reaching over the top because he was out of position. Hell, that one sequence where they got 4 or 5 off. rebounds he didn't put a body on anyone and just watched form behind the play. JL seen this and thats why he was out!
Instinct you say! I have a couple No Heart and No Motavation, and they to can not be taught!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
