The opening line was Tulsa favored by 5. But it has dropped to 4 points.

It looks like over 90% of the money is being bet on Bradley.--

Vegas is playing us like we are Houston. They lost to Tulsa by 4 73-69. I'd play the over tonight because I think we'll score in the 70s tonight and we have a way of making not so great Os look decent sometimes. I'm never to worry about us scoring the problem is can we shut them down and not get to far behind at some point during the game. I suspect Tulsa has a better D than UVA.

Actually, Tulsa opened as a 3.5 or 4-point favorite and now it's up to 5.5 in favor of the home team.

???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

If the line opened at Tulsa -4 and moved to Tulsa -5.5, how do you figure there was 90% action on Bradley? At 90% action the line would have swung dramatically, probably to a Bradley favor. The entire point of running a house is to level the bets and bank off the juice... otherwise the House is gambling.

The house doesn't want to gamble. That's why they love slots, ********************s plunking in money guaranteed to lose 20%. But hey, they're getting an 80% payout! If the game doesn't have a house edge, they won't play. The edge in sports is built in the juice, they try to make the wagering player v. player (horses are the best example of this as it is real time in most cases).

Action gets skewed, but not at the 90% range without the line being closed and adjusted.

Of course unless they know something that the rest of us don't.

Looks to me like Vegas got killed on this one. Opens at Tulsa -4, then the sharps hammer the line and it moves up to -5.5. After that, every indication is that Bradley +5.5 was the square play. Sure enough Tulsa wins by 5 and everyone cashes including those who played the middle. Of course it doesn't matter in the end because I'm sure the action was 1/10th of a percent of a single game this past weekend.

Horse race wagering is called pari-mutuel wagering. The odds to be payed off are based on the amount of money on each horse in relation to all the money wagered. (of course, the house takes a small percentage)

Bradley is a 5 to 5.5 point favorite at home according to the sites I looked at.
