  • WEEK to air Bradley special Sunday at 7:30 pm--"Redefining Brave"

WEEK, channel 25 in Peoria will air a special program Sunday night titled "Redefining Brave". It will be a half hour locally produced program profiling this year's Bradley Braves. It will cover the regular season, and a look at their run in the CBI.

It was nice to watch, but it was really just Lee Hall narating a replay of many of their BU stories throughout the season. (Which were or still are on the WEEK website, other than Lee's current added commentary)

          Yeah, that was nothing special.

It wasn't all that good, IMO.

But being in the news with a couple (few) games left is great coverage.

I saw it and thought it was good. As they say in Hollywood, any publicity is good publicity. It was a nice recap of the season, with the emphasis on the CBI games so far.

Now that WEEK does not telecast Bradley games as they have for many years, I think they wanted to do a program like this just to show people they still are following them closely. Of the 3 major Peoria stations, the WEEK sports staff follows BU the closest and has more features on them than the other stations do.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Big piece missing there.

I watched the show with my roommates and we all agreed that it wasn't anything special and about what we expected. That being said, I think it's great that the effort was made and they did a half-hour program on the team. It shows the community is behind this team even after all they've been through.

I agree... I also turned it of early.... any pub like this is good pub though... I think that we have been spoiled with the productions that Dave Snell has done in the past when he was on WMBD-TV.imo

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
