For recruiting, alumni and quality purposes, Bradley needs to regionalize it's scheduling:

One game in Texas - Tons of schools, including Baylor, Houston, Texas A&M (Turgeon)...we recruit heavily down there and it would be smart for the program

One game in the Chicago area - Northwestern, DePaul, as well as up to Marquette would be the short list.

Something out on the east coast - I still like VCU, George Mason, Davidson, Winthrop, etc.

Something on the west coast - Arizona State, San Diego, Pepperdine, Gonzaga all come to mind ...
    Go Braves!

University of South Florida is located in Tampa. UCF is in Orlando...UF isn't that far away in Gainesville...FSU in Tallahassee.

I think playing games across the US is a good strategy to increase awareness of the program. This seems to be something Gonzaga does.

Let's just get a football team and move to the Big-10, ACC or Big East confrence!

We hosted Florida Gulf Coast this year. Let's go there - Ft Myers. Sanibel Island just off Ft Myers is another of my favs.

I'd love to see Bradley schedule "quality" schools of similar or better academic stature, as well as "quality" b-ball programs. Some schools that come to mind:

            Duke
            Davidson
            Wake Forest
            Butler
            Gonzaga
            Xavier
            Note Dame
            Marquette
Louisville, Tulsa, New Mex. St. & Cinci (only because of past Valley tradition-- God, I'd love to see these teams back in the Valley)
Carolina (just because they are who the are)

Vanderbilt is a really good school, too.

I'd like to see us start playing one high-profile neutral court game a year in either Chicago, St. Louis, Indianapolis, or Des Moines.

Notre Dame and Bradley in Chicago. Both schools have a large number of alumni in the city ... it would sell out perhaps. Does anyone know how well the DePaul / Notre Dame game draws when they play at DePaul?

It always draws well ... even though DePaul has been down of late, it is still a pretty good rivalry. That one goes back to the old days of Digger vs. Ray Meyer.

This year, when DePaul's crowds have been down ... the attendance for the Notre Dame game was 16,934.

This year, the ND crowd at DePaul was it's largest of the year at 16934.

There were an exceptional amount of Notre Dame fans at the game this year, which contributed to that number.
                        Go Braves!

It would be nice to be part of a higher profile event (at least per ESPN standards)

I still think Elgin should go hard after the A10 to set up an MVC/A10 tournament as an alternative to the bracket buster. Here is an earlier thread on the topic:

I think the A10 and the MVC need to cooperate to support each other as the two best non-BCS basketball conferences.

Bradley should stick with the powerful Horizon league non conference schedule. If they played half of those teams everyone "wishes" for...they would lose majority of the time. Just like the Michigan State game. Stick with the Wright States until they consistantly make the NCAA tourney. UCLA, Duke, Louisville? Right.
