That's a really good story...well written. It's awesome that they put a story written by a Bradley Scout writer up on their site.

Ugh, if we could only get good basketball coverage in the scout. There was an article early in the year that was pretty much ripped STRAIGHT from the PJS about recruiting, inaccuracies(rather oversights and understatements I suppose) and all. Being a former sports writer and editor and offered a couple of sports journalism scholarships, I have never been impressed with the sports coverage in the Scout during my time on the hilltop.

Writing for a weekly paper like the Scout is not an easy thing to do. It's tough to recap two, three or even four games in one story that is about the length of a typical game story from the PJS and bring something to the forefront that has already been discussed. When you factor in that all of the people who work at the Scout are full-time students and put in the kind of hours they do working there in addition to their schoolwork, I think the Scout has done a good job with its coverage.

The Scout is never going to be a groundbreaking newspaper. I think we can all agree with that. I think it's better built to give casual BU fans on campus and idea of how the team has been doing. In that instance, it does a pretty good job IMO.

It's even harder to copyedit a 4-game recap.

I liked it several years ago when they'd do the mid-week online update. I also very much so enjoyed the Sweet 16 pull-out section, despite the hassles before and after publishing.

            Cry me a river.

            Haha I kid.

It's tough to cater the Scout to all the student's needs and I think for the most part the paper and the students who put it together do a great job. It's sure is a hell of a lot of work.
