You know, I heard a police officer say one time on COPS... there are 2 types of people on the road at 2am, Cops and Criminals. I took offense to it at the time because I was ending my shift at 2am. But seriously... at 3:30am in Baton Rouge, what the h e dble toothpick is the kid doing? Apparently, he wasn't just in town to visit Mom for Cookies and Milk.

It certainly doesn't soften the loss of the young man, but there are an awfully lot of shootings that seem to happen after midnight on the streets. One of my college profs once said, if you park your car downtown at night and leave your wallet on the hood while you go to dinner, then who do you have to blame of it is taken, the crook or ....
