I guess I just would've liked to have seen him put the team on his shoulders when Ruff was out before I annointed him an NBA prospect.
I just don't think that the ability to carry a college team is what an NBA team looks for when they fill spots at the end of their bench. Their looking for guys that fill needs, like a perimeter defender that can help them guard guys like Kobe and Lebron, or good shooters that can help them spread the floor in certain situations. The entire team was befuddled when Ruffin was out with his injury, so I don't think it's fair to criticize JC for not stepping up. I'm not arguing that JC is going to make the NBA, because I don't think he will, I just don't think the right argument is that he didn't step up when Ruffin was out.

Are you kidding me Dallas? No way Ruff compares to TJ Ford. In fact, I think he has been outplayed by every "marquee" guard he's faced all season.

If I recall JC was hurt then and most of the season. He's just now getting healthy and starting to play like last season (except he handles the ball and drives to the hoop much better). Those CBI announcers loved him and were saying how he's one of the greatest players at Bradley since Hersey Hawkins (of course, I think they forgot about Anthony Parker).

I'm glad I am not the only one who has noticed this. Ruff gets burnt on defense time and time again. Sure, he picks a pocket or two a game, but other good PGs go around sometimes at will. A friend of mine pointed this out to me last year and this year I have made it a point to watch, and sure enough he was right.

I agree completely. Like the rest of our team defensively, Ruffin plays well in spurts.
