    How the various seeds have done in the tournament since the bracket was expanded to six rounds in 1979:

    The better winning record for the 6 seeds compared to the 5 seeds is really interesting given that the 6 seeds have a tougher path.

      Also, based on the last 29 years, number 1 seeds end up winning the the tournament only 52% of the time ... 15 times out of 29 tournaments.
