  • Ticket Handling for CBI/NIT

I would be interested in how other schools handle their ticket sales for these events.

If you look historically at our attendance in these events we are always 2-3000 lower than normal.

It it the price of the tickets or the way the tickets are distributed? You are only going to physically be able to sell so many tickets to non season ticket holders in ONE DAY!

Aren't there certain areas of the arena where they could begin selling tickets to the general public through the PCC ticket office or on Ticketmaster?

Just some thoughts. I am excited about the opportunity to potentially see Bradley play SEVERAL home games!

I just want as many people in the seats as possible.

I know a bunch of people (season-ticket holders) who plan a vacation around this time, especially families with kids who are on Easter/Spring break.
Those people will obviously not be buying tickets.

There are other season ticket-holders who may have 4 or more seats, but don't use all of them for every game. Then for an NIT or CBI game like this, they only buy the number they are sure they will use.

Plus many of the corporate owners do not buy their tickets for the one-time games like this.

Yes, this is undoubtedly true as most corporations buy the season package for their associates and clients, but have no real interest or dire need to go out and purchase single tickets...

I would guess about 7200 will attend (and that may be generous w/ the students out)

Besides the 6 pm start hurts as well...

Although it certainly keeps all the gray hairs awake unlike the 8 pm tip

I just hope we can pull this one out as I think we could get a great student turnout given the right marketing next Monday

The 6 PM start is a killer. The arena was half full for the tip on senior night with a huge pre-game party. It's going to be near empty for the tip against Cincy. Hopefully by halftime we'll have at least 8K there.
