Rhode Island is actually been announced as part of the NIT...playing Creighton first round.

I think Rhode Island is in the NIT, so they can't be in the CBI. I believe they play at Creighton.

Does anyone know if Illinois is going to want to be in this CBI tourney? I am very glad BU gets to play again this year.

Rhode Island and San Diego State are in the NIT.

It has also been announced that Virginia will play at home and Houston will play on the road.

Of note per the BCI web page, the teams will be reseeded in the semifinals.

Illini not interested in CBI, per Mark Tupper's.

It doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, call it a career for Randle...

A week ago, UIUC would like to see their season end... but they are playing great right now. I think they take a bid to the CBI.

I'd love nothing more than for Daniel to get a proper send-off here FINALLY and get a home sellout against the Illini...

That would be a money maker's wet dream for CBI officials...

That being said, I don't see UIUC agreeing in any shape or form to facing us here or even there

The CBI wants legitimacy. Inviting a terrible team like Illinois would not give it legitimacy.

Well I've finally gotten over my depression from the loss in STL, glad to hear that we have at least one more game left. Now I just gotta get myself down to Peoria.

... I'd love to see Bradley destroy Randle and co. at Carver... I know UIUC wouldn't come, but it'd be terrific.
Here's the deal, Wyoming for football, Bradley for basketball.

I agree, but to an extent...

Their main goal from what I have read is cash money and what better way than that?!

Ultimately money is the motivator for all of these tournaments (NCAA included). However, there are enough quality teams that a 16 team field can be comprised without lowering itself to the depths of a 19 loss Illini team, or any other bottom-feeding BCS team.
