Bradley recruit Andrew Warren was just named Saturday to the prestigious Indiana boys high school All Star team. The Indiana team plays games against teams from Kentucky. Somehow, Dave Reynolds had this info in his article Saturday morning, but it just broke in the Indiana papers late Saturday.

This year's all-star roster includes Mr. Basketball Greg Oden and his teammate at Lawrence North, Mike Conley. Joining them are Andrew Warren of Indianapolis Brebeuf, Vaughn Duggins of Pendleton Heights, Curtis White of Indianapolis Pike, Jeffersonville's Antonio Ballard, Andrean's Luke Harangody, Bloomington South's Cole Holmstrom, Huntington North's Chris Kramer, Homestead's Grant Leiendecker, Anderson's DeJovaun Sawyer-Davis and Gary West's Jamil Tucker.

The Indiana All Stars play Kentucky on June 17 in Bowling Green at Western Ketucky University. The second game of the annual series will be played on June 24 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Last year, Saihou Jassey played for the Kentucky All Stars in 2 games against the Indiana All Stars.

Also, Warren played in an All Star game back on April 15 that pitted the best plaers from Indianapolis against the best from the rest of Marion County. Greg Oden, the consensus top player in the country did not play. Warren's Marion County team smashed the Indianapolis team 140-71. Andrew Warren scored 14 points in the game, and to top off his night, he won the Dunk Contest. Congratulations AW!

Andrew Warren won't be on the Bradley campus until the second summer semester, according to Dave Reynolds' article a couple days ago. Here is an article about what AW will be doing for the first half of the summer. He is on the Indiana high school All Star team that will play games against the Kentucky all Stars on June 17 and 24. The attention given to AW seems to have slipped a bit with all the recent recruiting news over DW, SM, JF, and MS. But, I think AW has the potential to be a Bradley great before it is all over with. He may turn out to be the best recruit JL signed this year.

Creighton, Illinois State, and other Valley teams had better recruiting clases than Bradley.

I found a ranking by Hoopscoop that places Bradley's recruiting class at #208 in the country and 5th in the Valley. It may not be completely accurate, but Bradley's recruiting was hurt by their extra weeks of play.

Over 2 Years

we certainly got some great recruits coming in. don't you think that we had the best recruiting class in the valley.

Flipper, unfortunately, the recruiting class for BU that everyone talks about is for the next two years. Based on what we have coming in next year we are mediocre, at best. Our class for the following year should have us ranked very high, however.

They should adjust their rankings to be based on the average quality of the incoming recruits, not their total value.

How did HoopScoop rank the 2004 recruiting class that featured a slightly-built point guard, an undersized JUCO shooting guard, a 6'4" JUCO power forward who only had 1 other DI offer, and a 7'0" project that was highly recruited out of high school? That class did OK at BU.
