  • Anthony Parker

Anthony Parker has gone on a tear since the Toronto Raptors' leading scorer Chris Bosh has been out with an injury. In the past 8 games he has averaged 20.1 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 63-113 field goals (55.7%), 20-22 free throws (90.9%), and has 15 threes (50%).

Anthony is also turning into a team leader. Notice what he says in this article. He takes on TJ Ford's ball-hogging tendencies.--

Thanks for the articles. I watched the Golden State-Toronto game the other night and I was appalled by TJ Ford. I don't usually get worked up by that kind of thing but it was an incredibly selfish stretch in the 4th quarter by Ford. Toronto lost the game because they couldn't stop Golden State but Ford took every dang shot in the last 4 minutes.

The Raptors are better with Calderon on the floor instead of Ford anyway. I think this recent stretch shows that Anthony could be a larger force in the offense if needed. I've always thought he would fit great with a team like Phoenix--especially since they need some defenders.

Yeah, I watched Toronto play Orlando or something in one of TJ Ford's first games back. He was just chucking the ball up everytime he got it. There was a stretch where he must have taken six or eight shots in a row, not even looking for the open man. Sure, he was hot at times, but there were also times where'd he go cold.

Impressive numbers for Parker. I wonder if his scoring will go down a bit when Chris Bosh returns.
