Here is Joe Lunardi's latest assessment on ISU's chances for the NCAA Tournament. He still has them as an 11 seed (not in the "Last Four In" category), but it seems like he feels they could be on shaky ground as the week progresses:

6 Vanderbilt vs. 11 Illinois St
    Tampa
Team Record (Conf.) RPI SOS Last 12
    Vanderbilt 25-6 (10-6) 10 35 8-4
    Illinois St 23-9 (15-6) 34 68 9-3
    Vanderbilt
Here's another team where the profile and rankings are widely disconnected. Splitting the difference puts Vandy in the No. 5-6 seed range.

    Why seeded here?
I would have bet my house that Vanderbilt would lose at either Arkansas or Alabama.

    May change because:
The Commodores instead lost both to soften an already so-so road record.

    Good Wins
    RPI 1-25: South Alabama, Tennessee
RPI 26-50: Massachusetts, Kentucky, Mississippi State

    Bad Losses
    RPI 101-200: @Alabama
    RPI 201+: none

    Illinois St
Only a disastrous MVC title game performance could have damaged the Redbirds. Well, a 30-point hammering with everyone watching certainly qualifies as a disaster.

    Why seeded here?
With no Top 50 wins, it's going to be an awfully long week at Illinois State.

    May change because:
Will finishing second in a down Valley be a positive or a negative for the Redbirds?

    Good Wins
    RPI 1-25: none
    RPI 26-50: none

    Bad Losses
    RPI 101-200: @Bradley, @Northern Iowa, @Indiana State
    RPI 201+: @Eastern Michigan

WOW, who would have thought losing at Bradley would be described as a BAD LOSS.

Four other sites (CBS, USA Today, Sporting News, CNNsi) have been updated today and they all have isu in the tournament.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Saw that yesterday too in a CBS graphic....made me cringe.
A real fan celebrates the successes, but also acknowledges the failures of his team.

So I guess that means if Bradley's RPI jumps back up to 100, that makes all the difference in the world! Interesting how people think sometimes!

On another issue, glad to see that most "Bracketologists" still have ISU in the tournament. Now who says conferences don't get bids!

C'mon Cpac... it's always a bad loss for your program when ISU loses to Bradley.
