I had ISU in at the start of the day, but their awful showing probably pushes them into the NIT. A week to wait around for all those big schools and conference tourney upsets to move by them.

Even if they did get in I think Jason's assessment of a 14 seed at best is off. They might grab a 14 seed, but they would definitely not be a 15 or 16. Bradley was thought to be the last at-large team in in 2006 and was a 13.

But BB, must we not insist on the same standards for Drake as the highly respected local press demands of Bradley?
They must not just do this in one lone season, and maybe not even in back to back years,
but it is encumbent upon them to repeat this kind of performance for several years in a row before we can admit they have done well.
After all, let's remain consistent and not expose an astronomical level of bias.
After BU had a Sweet Sixteen year, we were told to reign in our enthusiasm and see the larger picture, so likewise,
I think Drake fans should understand they have had only 2 winning seasons in the past two decades, so calm down and quit the celebrating!
Remember this comment aimed at us......
"such tournament runs include a degree of luck and get blown out of proportion.
But this level of quality should be sustained and even improved."

Hope I am wrong. I predict ISU gets snubbed. Only Drake goes to the NCAAs this year

I'm not into semantics or what's been said in the past about what program. The fact of the matter is that we haven't won a conference title in 12 years and a conference tourney title in 20. I'm kind of tired of it.

By the way........that quote from before....

                "a degree of luck..."

might just apply to Drake, and I don't mean to take away anything, as you know I am big fan or Drake & can appreciate how well Drake has played this year. They deserve all the accolades.

But....they played a lot of close games, ten of 6 points or less or OT,
and 22 games that were within single digits in the final minutes...and in those games they were 18-4.
