I kinda like Kirk Wessler's column today...
"Those monsters in Missouri ain't right"
The "monster" Wessler is referring to is obviously the negative press and negative atmosphere kindled among the boosters,
ripping into Barry Hinson and resulting in such a negative wave of sentiment that the guy ends up getting fired!
It's the same negative press that ripped Jim Molinari, and guys like Tubby Smith, Bruce Weber, and you can probably add others to that list, too.
"You may usher in the monster now. Bye-bye, Barry.
At least Hinson is in good company. The monster chewed up Tubby Smith because he couldn't repeat the national championship he won his first year at Kentucky. Tubby jumped out before he could be spit out. The monster is slobbering at the doorstep of Illinois coach Bruce Weber"
So just who are the monsters that have been so unfair to Barry?
