CBI tournament

IMO - BU is done for the season.

As much as I agree the best thing about playing more is that the coaching staff can keep on coaching next years team!

Right now I feel that I can't wait until October especially since my baseball team the Baltimore Orioles are going to really bite this year!

BU is a probably 2-1 dog to make the CBI, and a 10-1 dog to make the NIT.

Agreed. I think our season-ending losing streak sealed our postseason (or lack thereof) fate. As much as I enjoy watching BU play, and as much as I love to watch JC and DR play, part of me just wants it to end. None of my goals for this team can be accomplished, and none will be accomplished by a game or two in the CBI. I'd rather we remember the great memories of JC and DR starring for us over the last 4 years, and start prepping for next year. On paper, I think we can contend for a top 3 finish. Might as well get healthy and get hungry and start thinking about making up for this disaster of a season.

While none of our team goals will be accomplished, I still believe that making the postseason is something that would be enjoyed by most fans. One can look back on this season and see that we had a good enough season to be rewarded with a tournament invite. And while it does not make up for the fact that we underperformed a bit this year, a postseason tournament would still be a nice way for our seniors to go out on. And most importantly our returning players can get some more experience before next season begins.
