  • Interesting IU Rumors

    From their premium board...

Some rumor that they willbreak the bank and try to lure Matt Painter, as the only hope to both keep the IU recruits from decommitting and to be able to rebuild and be on top right away.
...sounds preposterous, but it's being rumored.
They also want Mempis' John Calipari

Also...many posters have accepted it's a foregone conclusion most of the incoming recruits will decommit, 5-Star Devin Ebanks, and even Matt Roth.
Today's report is that Ebanks has indeed de-committed:

Lastly, there is a fresh rumor of one of their present players being kicked off the team or suspended due to an issue with new coach Dan Dakich.

Matt Painter at IU.....HAHAHAHAHA! Although Painter grew up a Hoosier fan, he was never recruited by IU and played for Purdue. He's been a Purdue guy ever since, and he's even been outspoken about IU's cheating. IU will not draw a bigger name than what they drew with Sampson.

You'd think after all that cheating you'd at least be able to win a big ten title.

The issue obviously involves Indiana's juco transfer junior, Jamarcus Ellis.
He was not present and not dressed for the game today at Penn State, and
Indiana lost to the Nittany Lions.

There is suspiciously more wrong with Gordon than a minor sprain of the wrist.
His shooting woes were evident as he continued his 3-pt shooting struggles (17% over the past 8 games) that we've seen for several games and had a lot of turnovers and bad plays.
The sentiment on the IU board is this....
"Thank you Samson and Greenspan for destroying our program"

        "Greenspan must go"

        "FIRE HIM NOW!!!!!"

            OK...here's an interesting one...
Remember that an anonymous donor put up $500,000 to help buy out Kelvin Sampson and send him packing?

Now the Chicago Tribune is reporting that the secret/anonymous donor is rumored to be John Cougar Mellencamp.
"Rumors persist that Mellencamp -- the classic rocker and avid IU rooter from nearby Seymour -- was the unnamed booster who funded the $750,000 Sampson buyout."
