I have done some tracking and made some phone calls....and here is what I learned.
The LHSAA playoffs, known as the Top 28 (the "Final Four" in each of 7 Classes)
is nowhere near as organized nor popular as the high school finals are here in Illinois.
In fact, their website is almost useless and doesn't say much at all.
If anyone can find anything about broadcasts, check out the LHSAA site and let me know.
BUT...I called their person in charge of the media, and here's what she said...
For radio coverage, several smaller, local stations are planning to do certain games. She wanted me to call her back tomorrow or Saturday, and she might be able to give me the local link so the games could be heard online.
This station, "ESPN 1420" is planning to broadcast some of the title games, and may add the NOON game with Reserve, and they have an internet audio link right on their front page. Unless I learn more, you could just tune in Sat. at noon, click the link and see if they have it.
For TV, the games are all being taped and WILL be broadcast at a later time, but believe it or not, none of the games, the STATE championship high school basketball games, are telecast live.
You will have to keep checking the schedules on this TV station's website as they have the TV rights, and will post the times and you can watch online.
NOTE...that there is one link for the GIRLS title game on there, and here is the page that shows the schedule FOR LAST YEAR"S GAMES
NOTE--these are last year's but it shows that some of the title games didn't get shown on TV until LATE MARCH and APRIL!
Here is the schedule for 3/11/08, and note it has TWO of the title games televised, but it doesn't make it clear which ones.
Here is another link to keep an eye on...
