Jankovich tries to quiet NCAA talk

This article says ISU leaves for St. Louis today. That's a little strange. I don't think any of the teams, except the play-in teams, go there on Wednesday. Most of the top 6 teams, like BU, will arrive Thursday.

The last time the #1 seed won the MVC Tournament was 1998, 10 years ago.

and the story again included tough news about Dom Johnson, as it says he really hasn't even practiced yet...

"Jankovich said Johnson will have to practice before putting him in a game.

“He’s shot a few baskets, but playing a game of H-O-R-S-E is a far cry from
playing in the Valley Tournament,” said the ISU coach. “I’m not very optimistic, I
can say that. I’m completely optimistic beyond that he’ll be back. He’s lost a lot of weight.
Surgery takes a lot out of you. He’s way down strength wise.”
