  • A little off topic.....

Today I was standing on my deck on Elmwood, just down the street from the University when I heard a door bell and a booming voice. Bradley has themselves a pretty nifty emergency system. I could hear it from inside my house a few blocks away. They could of had it for awhile, it may be my first time hearing it. Not a bad idea. Just wanted give my 2 cents.

And I wish to contribute something basketball related....T. Wilson > I talk to much(Stinnet).
That guy never shuts up. I remember him walking down the court during the Bradley and Creighton game here and he was yelling something at the crowd. Shut up. Plus Wilson is just better.

I can't wait until basketball starts again on Friday. Go Braves. If you want to find me at the game in St. Louis, I will be in the upper bowl with a sign that reads "Shut Up Stinnet". It is the least I can do to counter all of Ruffin crap that we will see.

You might want to spell his name right if you are going to have an insulting sign that is meant to be directed at him...
    It is Stinnett...not Stinnet.

I agree...he needs to shut his yap.
Freshmen should speak only when spoken to.
Freshmen should be seen, not heard.

If he is this big a smack-talker as a freshman, I wonder if anyone will be able to stand him as a senior!

But the kid can play. He didn't do much last Saturday, but he can carry them if they him to.

Creighton has a great guard corps, and they are all back next year. If anyone wonders why Jim les keeps recruiting guards, look at how Creighton wins. It's all in their guards.

I agree with you there DC, but they also had a good post presence in Tolliver the last few years before this one, and I was always thought Dane Watts was a very underrated player. Lawson also impressed me the other night.

Their guards run the show, but they usually also have a good post presence, which is something we haven't had at all this year.

I'm fairly certain today was the first testing of this new emergency broadcasting method. Happened at 10:30am, right? I didn't hear it on campus, but I suppose it's likely going to help those who are outside more than anything.

That will probably be the case. Even going inside it sounded like a guy was standing in my backyard yelling. I am sure Bradley has or is going to have features in the building. Taking the extra steps I guess.

Yes, Bradley has a new broadcast emergency system to go along with the Emergency text system. Right now the broadcast part is only in the Library and Olin as well as being piped thru the Bradley hall speakers on top of the building. That's the part you heard today lol. This summer they will be installing the ceiling speakers in every building on campus. The messages are automated but can be overridden with human voice to give instructions. It will mainly be used for all emergency situations from tornado warnings to hazmat incidents to a dangerous life threatening crime on campus. Really nifty system.

The A Train will dominate the Valley. By the way Andrew Warren was seen on campus today texting with BOTH hands. Don't tell Dana that I think he's coming back!
