      Congratulations to coach Les.

Thanks to Bradleyfans, I already knew everything in Dave Reynolds' article about Bradley and the recruiting.
You had everything nailed right on the head.

According to Scout, he is a 3-star recruit- see righ below his picture.

There are no recruits at any school in the MVC this year that are ranked higher..

I have a feeling people will like Salley.
BU has only had a couple of tough East Coast kids before,
but I recall Eric Roberson, Gene Gathers, Eddie Harris.
He is someone who is capable of helping right now.

tornado, I agree we have had some tough kids as you named. Hope he adds to this list. I question the 3 stars when I look at who was recruiting him. Something does mot add up. Hope we got a steal. Time will tell. Good luck at BU and remember "Once a Brave always a Brave."

You are right bill. This sight has great info. If POB decides to go to the NBA in June is it to late to sign anyone for next season? I know there will be limited players available but is there a signing deadline?

Don't let the fact that there were no "big-name" schools mentioned. This kid had many big name schools after him out of High School. He was a Top 100-150 recruit coming out of high school (he must have flown under their radar this year). He was listed right behind DeAaron Williams.

Can you imagine the excitement on this board if we signed a top 100 recruit? Well, WE DID!!!

Here's hoping for big things from Mr. Salley

                  More on Salley

The ninth annual NBA Players Association camp for top high school talent.......it gave us a great look at roughly 50 or so of the nation's top 100 seniors in the class of 2004........

Matt Salley (6-8 ) from North Mecklenburg in Huntersville, N.C. is still raw but is one of the strongest rising senior sleepers in the class. He is very quick and has a soft touch. Salley could explode as a wing forward three years down t[/b]

I cannot get too excited yet. I will believe he is good when I see him perform. 13 Pts and 8 RB in JUCO? Didn't the paper say Rider and East Carolina? Wow... Sorry, but I have been let down too many times before. Maybe that is partly because I am a Cub fan...

Good: Size, strength, 3 star recruit according to one site.
Bad: Free throw shooting. Less than 50%? I hope this isn't another Jabbar Battle.

He'll certainly get every opportunity to play right away.

There is a deadline to the National Letter of Intent, it is May 16th.

But players can still commit and scholarships can still be offered, there is just no binding contract.

There are very few decent recruits left by then. About the only ones worth going after are kids who weren't expected to qualify but then make it with a late test score and become eligible (ala Tyrone Kent last year). There could also still be a few transfers floating around that late that might be worth offering a scholarship to.

That article also has #463 Jeremy Crouch from Pekin, IL heading to Northern Iowa.

Or another Andrews when it comes to Free throws. I hope he practices this summer.......
