Agreed. I would be very surprised to see him back next year.
As would I. He obviously won't be missed.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
I'm sure Ryan Thornton, Brian Lavin, and Cameron Sweatman all work their @sses off in practice too, but it doesn't mean that they're any good or deserve playing time.
Apparently, at least one of them deserves minutes ahead of DC.

I hate to write guys off like that. We've all done time and again with kids, and often times they've come back and been very solid contributors (JJ Tauai). Heck, we've even done it with kids during the season, and by year's end they're significant contributors (Rashad Austin).
Don't get me wrong, I can't say I see a bright future for David Collins considering how this season has unfolded (or in his case, unraveled). But if he decides to stay, I am not going to count him out.
In a single elimination tournament and five days off before the game on Friday, I can't see anyone sitting on the bench to save their legs for future games. The main guys are going to play big minutes on Friday afternoon. Ruffin probably won't come out unless he gets in foul trouble.
Of course Bradley will be a worn down team come Saturday or Sunday. However, that is better than a fresh team traveling home on Friday night.
My thoughts exactly......why rest guys now? There is no tomorrow if we don't win and our best chance of that happening is with our major contributors on the floor as much as possible!

Oh....I wouldn't count him out either IF he stays. I'm just saying he's played extremely limited minutes this season when our bigs were our biggest problem. That's why he wouldn't be missed in my mind, especially with AT coming in next season.

I can't see many scenarios where he doesn't come back unless he decides he's just done with basketball altogether. He can't really transfer... And I hope Bradley isn't the type of program to run a kid out just because he maybe isn't the player you thought he was (as opposed to discipline or attitude problems-- which it does not sound like DC has any of). Besides, I think there's a chance we'll be surprised a bit by him next year. He's still an athletic legit 7 footer. He may really come along in his understanding of the game and make a big stride.
A ten man rotation would be ideal, nine would be good, eight can be workable. There has to be 8 players that play a well disciplined/executed full energy 200 minutes for this to work.
The three guys that will factor into us winning or loosing are RA SS TCS. Each one of these guys needs to do a gut check and dial up their "game" a little. It is so improtant for these three to have outstanding minutes so Les can keep them in longer, which will result in our "goto guys" not being totally gassed and having their legs the last 10 minutes.
We'll see what kind of character DC has this summer. Is he going to phone it in and transfer or resign himself to riding the pine or is he going to put in the work and foce JL to put him on the floor? We'll see.
I don't smoke weed...I smoke dudes like you on the bball court
Too many times this season we have had a team on the ropes and didn't finish them off. I attibute some of that at least to being mentally and physically spent going down the final stretch.
We have given away at least four games this year where we had the win but we didn't put the other team away and they snuck back into it and stole our W.

TCS just needs to commit more of his energy to doing the "little things" when he gets his minutes. Be disruptive on defense, run the floor, penetrate and create opportunities for others, etc. If he spent more time on the court doing those things instead of jacking up threes and forcing himself into low percentage shots in the lane, the team would be much better off.
The last I heard Will Egolf was still having pain in his foot so I believe they have shut him down for the season; Collins will only get in if we have a huge lead and the game is just about over; It is going to be up to our starters to play a lot of minutes and rest after the games as we will probably only be playing 8 unles Andrew makes a remarkable recovery, our team is as good as any when they play defense and rebound; they just need to be willing to fight for every possession .
