Yeah, I hate to see people blaming the refs all the time, especially in a one point loss. All we needed to do was make one more shot and no one would be talking about the refs.

But not a single Brave player did that. I am proud of the guys, and I strongly believe they have proven to themselves and their fans that they are capable of winning it all in St. Louis.

Thanks for the great effort, Braves.
Yes, I agree! Great effort Braves!

I will be recording the game while I'm at work on Friday, and I will watch it after I get home. Therefore, no one can tell me the score until around 8 PM!

That really was a great game, I'm so glad I ponied up the money to watch it. I know we lost but I feel like last night's game will give us the confidence we need to win on Friday.

I agree and if we would have played consistantly for 40 minutes we would have won in regulation. I hope that we do not get stuck on a number for the 120 minutes needed in St. Louis!

Dave's article did say this was the closest game in MVC history !!!!
(I'm guessing it was because of the <1% difference between final scores. obviously not the longest..)

I don't think this BU team has ever lacked confidence. I think winning last night would have given us a decided mental edge over CU, knowing that no matter how well CU played, that BU could and would come back. Unfortunately now, I think CU has the confidence to come back against BU even if down by multiple possessions with little time left, and BU has some doubt as to whether or not they can close out this team even when playing without their best player (Stinnett). Yes, it was an entertaining game. But I think some of us are taking this 'moral victory' thing too far. This wasn't Drake we were playing, nor was it some top 10 juggernaut. It was a very average and inexperienced Creighton team that was bad enough to lose to Evansville. Shorthanded or not, BU should have won this game. We had every chance in the world, and once again beat ourselves. I'm sorry if I can't feel good about it, but I just can't.
