I think this loss hurt us BIG TIME it helped CU mentally and hurt us mentally CU will be going into STL feeling very good with this big win.
I agree no loss is good but if this loss is the one thing this season that hurts us mentally, then what exactly has all the other bad things that have happened to this team this season done to us menatlly?
This is a loss, a tough one but it will not mentally hurt this team. If there is anything this team has developed its mental toughness.
We take Sunday off and get back to practicing on Monday and get ready to beat Creighton on Friday. I have no doubts this team will not dwell on this game.
I also agree....hard to see any loss as a good one, especially when we have a five point lead with 40 seconds left in the first overtime!

You know what though ... I have hung on every game this year and I do not consider tonight's loss that big of a deal. No damage in my mind and it could work to out to our advantage mentally next week.
I just watched the end, and the "travelling" call on Sam was a phantom call. I think the ref behind him did not see that he started his dribble before he moved the pivot foot, and thought it was a travel, when it clearly wasn't. I think the ref was also influenced by the crowd or the Creighton bench and gave them a gift.
Well, at least we won't have to worry about homer ref calls in St. Louis, thank god!

Except for that NIT/CBI bid. But yes, I do agree on your logic and hope we come out hungry on Friday!
I really think this game hurt us and it really showed how bad our bench is.
I was thinking this too. As far as next season, we have a great starting five, but who's on our bench? You think it was thin this year, next year worries me even more, especially learning how to play without Ruffin AND Crouch at the same time.
Though to be fair, the refs lets them in on that, nothing Bradley did.
I didn't see the game, but listened as we fouled on a made layup and then turn the ball over immediately. Meanwhile, I was watching the SIU game and seeing all night long exactly how a team should foul a layup attempt.

I was thinking the same thing (kinda) during the game. This year we have one of the best PG in BU history and the best 3P shooting guard in BU history. How far could this team have gone if POB had stayed in school? The Final Four would have been a real possibility.
Anytime you have to put Sam S in you are just not going to win many games.
I was kinda thinking the same thing about TCS.
