  • Clearing the air -- UWM game

Hey, this is Jimmy Lemke, the big guy that sat directly behind the UWM bench and the one who sat next to the kid who got kicked out of the game for beer.

I've heard a few different theories, but I figured I'd clear the air of all of them and let you all know what happened, if you're interested to know.

The Bradley fan who sat behind us was drunk immediately at the start of the game. Dude was hilarious, I'm not gonna lie. He offered to give me money to go buy beer and bring it for all of us...I told him I didn't need any.

The Bradley fan and his buddy came back with 10 minutes left in the game with beer for us and them. We were very appreciative, and being poor college students, didn't turn down the beer.

We drank the beer, but before we finished it, one of the beer vendors came over and checked his I.D. Since my friend wasn't 21, he said he didn't have it, and the guy took him to the cops. Didn't ID me, but did ask me if I bought it.

We didn't buy the beer, it was given to us. And after my friend was kicked off, more Bradley fans bought me beer. It's unfortunate, because my friend turns 21 next week.

We really enjoyed ourselves at the game, and we would love nothing more than to see an annual series between BU and UWM.

Good luck with the MVC tourney and whichever postseason tournament you guys end up in.

In case you didn't notice, BPUWM, we've been having a bit more than our fair share of legal issues this year, so actually I would appreciate it if you ever return to Carver Center for a BU game, please bring proper ID and buy or drink alchohol only if you are of legal age. We really can't afford any more run-ins with smokey.

Yeah, if you're sneaking beer to someone you have to sit way up in the nosebleed seats. They stick all the young people up there to enforce rules and they dont really care. And the people who really do enforce the rules dont want to hike all the way up there to check anyway.

Thanks for takin the time to come back on bradleyfans and visit us Black Panther.

I think UW-Milwaukee is a fine school and a fine BB team. I think many of us here at Bradleyfans would like to perhaps dial back our scheduling with the Horizon. Not a dig, we just don't need to be playing half the Horizon League in addition to our own league schedule.

Guiness, I didn't know there was section for young people at Carver. Don't most the students that make it to the games usually sit behind the basket?
What part of illegal don't you understand?

              From what I gathered....

Guiness was suggesting... of the people who check ID's, the younger one's get sent to the upper level and... blah-blah.
