Onward and Upward!

No, I think the vast majority of people here and everywhere I have talked with others...
support the University President completely and believe she has done a great job.
Remember...the "University President" never even bothered to get involved nor even make a statement in the Illinois/Jamar Smith case, in the ISU/DUI cases, in the Missouri/Bar Brawl cases, etc....
We have a Prez who is in control and is responsible to the public.

But, what's done is done, and there's no use complaining about it anymore. Onward and upward.
I exactly agree with this assessment.

Believe it or not... I'm pretty sure Glasser would rather have us win against SIU, too. They want the best for that program, just as we do. They let DRuff be honored Tuesday night because he earned it. He deserved it. He also deserved to have his suspension lifted AFTER they did all of their internal reviewing. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have made the announcement at 10pm Wednesday night if they hadn't just come to the conclusion shortly before that.

Jeffsu-- I personally think that there's a chance they'd come to their conclusion before the game on Tuesday but the political ramifications of reinstating him so quickly might have played a role as much as the facts. If my suspicions are true (and I have no idea whatsoever that they are), then I have a small problem with it, but understand that the university needs to keep such political or PR concerns in mind when making decisions.
I don't know if that's the case or not, though the fact that he was back at practice is what gives me the idea that they'd already made their decision. Either way, I appreciate not only the difficulty of the situation for Bradley, but their very direct approach to dealing with it. I'm proud of Bradley and President Glasser for taking the issue on, rather than waffling or trying to bury it.

It sounds as if you're insinuating that President Glasser and the Bradley Judicial System knew of the decision to lift the suspension before the game Tuesday and just held out? What possible reason would they have for that?

However - I am not going to overly criticize the decision, because it does match the precedence set with the Jabbar Battle incident a few years back. Battle eventually had his charges dropped, but still had to sit for 2 games. If that was BU's stance on the matter even after the fact-finding occured, I am OK with that. As I said before, I think BU handled the situation well. Probably as well as it could have under the circumstances.Onward and Upward!

I agree and have said so already, that I commend Pres. Glasser for the handling of this issue. Whether either of the scenarios above are true, it is not relevant, as I trust her judgement and the decision she came to.
Out of respect for the President, I would like to ask that we not speculate on different possible scenarios that went through her mind, or on the reasons used to make the final judgement. Thanks.
