  • Press Row

Guess I never noticed til now.... but Duke's press row goes the length of the floor. (at least what is viewed on tv)

So I wondered how players across the court checked in for games.... but that is ANOTHER press row.

SO the viewable are your game management folks (I guess) and maybe many reporters.

The real "press row" (across court and not always in full view but do get viewd in close-ups) is providing, stats, etc, along with benches and players checking at center court at the "real scorer's table".

Could you imagine the cross-court at Carver from the benches having a "press-row" like seating?

That would mean some major boosters and Braves Club members would be behind another "press row" and further from the court.

    Wow.

Cameron is kinda small. Carver, with upper and lower bowl has some press tables.desk-type areas in-between the bowls near the camera stand...

94 feet is 94 feet.... on both sides of the court.

Carver has one side of press row. The other side is seats filled by many great season ticketholders.

I think what we have at Carver is unique. If you watch most arenas do not have fans courtside as we do. Our high level donors can literally reach out and touch the players and officials. You don't see that in very many places.

Although it is brilliant from Duke. If you want really favorable press coverage, treat the press first-class, better than even the big-time boosters.

              lies all lies

And we think their recent coverage is ..?

Just pointing out that Duke gives the press the best seats in the house. I am sure that the Bradley people talk nicely to press members, and are usually respectful. Prez G is really good with the press, better than her predecessor. but some national media are aparantly shallow enough to fall hook-line-and sinker when you throw goodies their way.. It';s not just the substance of communication in today's media.

Well, showing "anyone" around town falls short of what the city of Memphis can offer.... so their tour wins. (just an example)

[not sure where this discussion is headed, honestly]
