And don't forget, you don't have to have a winnable case to cash in big with a lawsuit. It happens in the majority of lawsuits. Because of the way the US tort system is based, a huge number of lawsuits are settled by an innocent defendant paying out large sums to the plaintiff just to avoid huge legal coasts of defending a lawsuit that would never stand a chance of winning. And public institutions, like Bradley, will often settle non-winnable cases out of court, just to avoid the bad publicity the case may bring.

I think what I enjoyed most about yesterday's whole Phil experience was his ranting about everyone looking the other way when the basketball players were bad, followed by his sound radio endorsement of underage drinking by his intern, who, though a BU student, could be considered a public personality because of her weekly appearances on his radio show.
