  • Braves address fans

Ruffin made extremely classy remarks and apologized to the fans for being a distraction and asked for our support for him. Took a lot of guts to say what he did ...

Salley quick remarks, but appreciative to everyone.

Crouch sounded a bit choked up, but also very happy.
    Go Braves!

How did the crowd receive Ruffin? I hope they applauded him for everything he did for the Braves in the past five years.

Ruffin, as predicted, received a tremendous ovation....both in the pregame ceremony and after the game.

Yeah, nice comments by our seniors, and a nice response from the crowd. I'll miss these guys, but here's to hoping I'll get to watch 3 games out of them in StL.

Yes, I'm glad to hear that the crowd gave Ruffin a great sendoff! Hopefully the fans will also give him a great sendoff to our first round NCAA Tournament game as well!

People near the section I was sitting in (myself included) were yelling "LET HIM PLAY" after Ruffin gave his speach.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

I think Ruffin's remarks were very classy. I look forward to seeing him with the ball in his hands again this season

Although Crotch had a great game, I really was hoping for a stronger performance. Although he had direct attention on him all game because he was about the only real threat we had. I think with the games he has put up lately, a great national televised game could have put him on the map even more.

I would just like to say how much I have appreciated watching our seniors this season as they have really played well in the last 4 weeks and had we not had the injuries this team would have reached 20 wins by now ; you guys are fun to watch and good luck with whatever you decide to do after you leave BU.

Interesting comment from Crouch.... he recognized the dance team.

                        Thanks JC.

I don't think they get enough recognition (and respect)... especially from the other side of the court.

I was really happy Daniel decided to step up and take the mic. What he said was very appropriate and he did a great service to himself and the university. Jim Les was also very proud of Ruff. He told Dave Snell and Coach on the post game show how much courage and character it showed for him to get out there.

I thought DR's comments were very appropriate and agree it took guts to make mention of the situation.
