        MVC gets 2 bids.

        Drake loses the MVCT.

        Drake gets an At-Large.

        Book it.

ESPN is reporting that the fans/students stormed the court after defeating Drake.

I hope it was because of the end of the Hammons era, and not because they thought it was some kind of momentous win. It was relatively meaningless to MSU.

Amazingly enough though DC, this game could completely change the Bears season. If UNI beats Indiana State (likely) and loses to Evansville (unlikely, but it is a road game) ... and Indiana State loses to UNI (obviously, as seen above) and the Bears could win at Indiana State (a tall order, but you never know) ... there would be a three-way tie for 6th place in the Valley and the BEARS amazing enough would win that tiebreaker. That's a lot of what-ifs, but this game turns out to have meaning, in the end.

That still probably won't save Barry's job short of a run to the Valley championship game, and that still would be a big stretch. It's too bad though since I like the guy and he's been a great ambassador to the Valley. I personally hope they keep him around.

Let's see last season in Hammons, biggest home win in a long time, embattled coach probably coaches his last game in Springfield, terrible year ends on a great note, 1,000 plus students. Yeah meaningless game.

                      Are you kidding?
A team having a miserable, underachieving year, wins a home game that if several other factors occur that haven't happened yet, and probably won't, that gives them a remote chance of moving all the way from 7th place up to 6th place, and that is a reason to celebrate by storming the court like your team just won the conference championship?

Sorry, but IMO those are some incredibly low standards for a court-storming.

Using those criteria, Bradley fans should have stormed the court after the Creighton game, and the ISU game.

My post wasn't referencing anything, relating to storming the court...i actually was just trying to show that the Bears, after an awful season, could still move up in the standings...i think too that it would be foolish to rush the court, too!
                        Go Braves!

I'm sure Bilas is having a field day with Drake's loss. Good swan song for Barry in Springfield.
                          Onward and Upward!

Well, I was close.....where one of the teams was concerned.
