Here are some more links on Matt Salley. He averaged 12.8 ppg, and 8.9 rpg during the 2005-2006 season. But he had a great tournament in the NJCAA tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas. Despite his team finishing in 8th place, he was named to the All Tournament team--

Here is an article that describes him during his senior year in high school---
Salley, a 6-foot-7, 196-pound senior forward from North Mecklenburg High School, has received calls from an impressive list of Division I schools, including North Carolina State, Ohio State, West Virginia, Iowa and Clemson, among others.
Not bad for someone who didn't start playing organized ball until his sophomore year.

It is also from the Nike Camp of 2003 prior to when Salley was a senior at North Mecklenburg high school in NC. Salley graduated in the class of 2004. Sikes was a year earlier (class of 2003) and was headed to University of Georgia.

I don't see how it could hurt. Jim Les has to try to be prepared in case his best player decides to go to the NBA.

His averages for the year were 13.2 points/8.8 rebounds. During the juco tournament they were 15.8 points a game and 8 rebounds a game. See the 5th paragraph.

Right. Minnesota,Indiana, Marquette and others typically recruit deep reserves.
My guess if a guy can bury 3's in the last 2 min. he can bury them in other parst of the game as well.
Maybe we missed the boat on Stemler...time will tell
