Talk about knowing basketball and your player. JL saw the look and just new he was going to take it and that it would be good.

It was classic as I have never seen JL do that before.....
That was awesome, I've never seen him do that before either. Great team win last night, hopefully TCS and Matt S. keeps it up.

      My observations:

I was REALLY impressed with Singh, Austin, and Salley (esp. Salley)! These guys were putting forth more effort and consistency than I've seen in a game all season (granted I've not seen every game).

Sure, Salley missed some gimmees again but he was really putting in the effort -- blocked shots, rebounds, team leader.....................and Singh really impressed with his inside play and movement without the ball.

Austin showed me that he could be an absolute force come MVCT time, and particulary next year.

I really like the way this team is playing right now and, for some strange reason, have a very strong feeling that this may again be a "special" year. I really do think we may win the MVCT this year!

I agree. Amazing that this guy was our last scholarship last year, and is only here because DeAaron Williams didn't go to class. I don't know how other schools missed on guys like Wilson, going back a year, Will Franklin. I guess it just goes to show that the players are out there...you just gotta find 'em.

I agree with you as well. Wilson is a great player, and if we keep picking up JUCO's I want them to all be players like Wilson! Ready to contribute and play a major role!

JC was great and so was Sam M. and all the bigs. Good game overall.

TCS had a better game than normal, my only problem is that most of his points came off of fast breaks and drives to the basket, which he probably won't get against a larger MVC team like SIU. TCS was 5-6 from 2-point range and 1-5 from 3, so he could have been better from the perimeter. I like him though and he is a great threat going in to the basket!

How odd is this, our 84 points last night was the 4th highest score for us this season LOL. You would think that losing about 30 points average from your starting lineup would cause your scoring to go down and it was against a quality team LOL.

No, I was wearing a Black UWM sweater vest and White UWM baseball cap. The older fan wearing the wig is a big UWM fan and can be seen at all of our home games wearing a multitude of different caps.

TCS looked quicker then quick last nite. I don't know of a player in teh Valley that can match his quickness.

Photot 8 with Austin looks like the one where he got bent in half, had his jesey stretched out 2 sizes and had the foul called on him.

Where were these refs from....my goodness they were bad.

Well lets hope he proves me wrong then. I didn't think UWM looked that big last night, I guess it was just me!

Hey MM, you forgot to add: How you like dem apples?!?!

And after looking at the slideshow of pics, I have one question: which local dentist or oral surgeon is going to sponsor Sam Maniscalco's tongue for the next 4 years?

Duke and it's detractors have the "Scheyer Face"; BU and its detractors have the "Maniscalco Tongue"

I remembered seeing this article a year ago. Sam's habit of sticking out his tongue has been a story of it's own since his high school days--

And Dave Reynolds mentioned it in an article a couple weeks ago. See the 3rd paragraph--

SM also has a bad case of OCD evidenced by constantly wiping his shoes with his hands (for better traction) .... he lifts his feet behind his back to wipe them.... obsessively.

                                But I love the guy.
