Great win for the Braves!! Stepped it up tonight, and a 12 point win!

I feel UWM would have had a better chance with UNI/Missouri. They played well but just didnt seem to be matched well.

Gutsy win. A lot of the guys stepped up. JC really carried us and another great/solid game from SM. Good mins from TCS, MS, SS, RA. We were not playing a really good team but they kept their head together and got it done. Compliments to the staff for somehow piecing this thing together.

I will take 28 minutes, 13 points and no fouls from TCS any day of the week. Lets hope he can carry that and Salley can carry that blocking down to STL

This may have not been the match up we all wanted but it probably with everything that has happened the perfect match up. JC had a great game and the rest of the guys stepped up. I liked it that we went inside and collected our fair amount of points from the stripe. I hope we keep doing that. Great interior passing! TCS also had a very good game, we'll need more of that if DR can't play.

big win for the team. I hope this was a coming out game of sorts for TCS. We need him to step up big. He can wipe away not getting to play much the whole season by getting hot now.
                Can we start winning soon?

Well, what a game, I'm glad I lost my $5 bet to a fellow alum tonight. I gave him BU and the points. I had a feeling we were gonna really tank it tonight and lose by double digits with all the negativity that has arisen from the DR incident.

Haven't seen any box score, but here's my impressions anyways:

Earlier this week I questioned Crouch's guard credentials, I recant all such statements. His smarts more than make up for his athletic deficiencies as compared to a quicker, faster guard. That pull-up 3 on the break was awesome, you knew darn well he was feelin' it when he put that up. This is what you expect from a leader when the chips are down, and the chips don't get much more downer than they are now. (Huh? What kind of English is that?)

Cole-Scott looked a little shaky early, but seemed to get it under control as time went on, and made a big contribution. Let's hope he builds on this game; if he can provide the same contribution in BU's future games, it'll take some pressure off Maniscalco, and help make up for the missing Ruffin and Warren.

Maniscalco looked real good tonight, but man, he's gotta finish when he gets to the rim. I wanna say he coulda had another 6-8 points easy if he got those to go down. His ceiling keeps getting higher and higher each game.....

Salley/Austin/Singh (The SAS, how's that for a trendy nickname, huh? C'mon whadday'all think?) did real, real well tonight. However, still some bad screens and obvious rough post play that they got nabbed for, gotta be smarter than that. Austin caught a raw deal a couple of times with the fouls, the one over-the-back was a bummer of a call, the UWM guy was undercutting him from the side. Salley, for as much as I've ragged on him, did a good job tonight of just taking what comes his way, and getting to the ball on rebounds. He also had a couple passes from the post that were fantastic. I think this is almost the Salley we expected at the beginning of the season.

Almost forgot about Wilson, but that would've been a crime. This guy is all over the floor, definitely a great "glue guy" that keeps the team together. A great mix of offensive play inside and outside and keeps up with his man on 'D', just a solid, solid player.

I hope I didn't forget anybody, but if the fellas can all keep this high level of play up, they're still not going to be in that bad of shape come MVC tourney time. If Warren can come back and contribute, a tourney win still can be in the cards. Personally, I don't see the situation as bleak as I did before the game.

Heckuva win fellas, keep it up.
A real fan celebrates the successes, but also acknowledges the failures of his team.

Nice win by the team. Great job by the coaches keeping them focused on the task at hand. The win guarantees a winning season as well, so we got that going for us. Hope the guys keep plugging away and bring the same focus on Tuesday.

                    GO BU!!

I agree! Actually, I was thinking that this would be a great game by Cole-Scott beforehand, and I was right. He even got more points than Daniel Ruffin did against Drake (11)!

Very proud of the team tonight....it would have been very easy to mail it in tonight...but no, they played with all their hearts and stepped it up....SM played 40 mins...TCS had a real D1 game tonight....the bigs did their job....TW and JC picked up some slck and put it all together for a team W!

I echo the sentiments on the quality minutes by Cole-Scott. We absolutely need a contribution from him under the circumstances. I would have like to have seen Collins get some minutes. If, and that's still a big if, Ruff is out for the tourney I don't think we can get 3 W's in 3 days playing only 7.

There were several potential recruits at the game. I talked at length at half time to Codey Funk from El Paso.

Glad we got some minutes from TCS, but our depth is about equal to a puddle in a desert.

We need to find a way to squeeze 8-10 minutes a game out of WE or DC or we have no shot in STL, assuming Ruff is not coming back.
