I have always said there are 2 things that can wreck a season.... "Injuries and Felonies".

Is anyone else ready for some good news from the hilltop? Seems like forever since we've gotten something to get excited about.....maybe we can close in on one of the recruits or something!

Softball team beat Wisconsin? Bradley soccer signed some great recruits?

Injuries are part of the deal. Bradley is no different than most teams wioth regard to injuries. The off the b-ball court is starting to be an epidemic around the country. Recruit great kids of character and those problems ar diminished greatly. Don't go jump on me now....there are no guarantees so I understand that too.
We make so much of these athletes starting in jr high anymore that that they start to think they can do no wrong. If they happen to get away with some small thing then they think they can do anything and probably get away with it.
Many times when situations like this happen it's not the first time an incident happens...only the first time reported...same with drinking,drugs,whatever.
Sorry for the long post...but there are some real problems in colege athletics across the country and it doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon. I've got other thoughts on it but this post is too long already..sorry about that

Don't forget Jeremy Crouch's knee injury and shoulder surgery.
Sam Singh's knee and shoulder surgeries.
Phil Gilbert's foot injury.

And if we are goig back 10+ years, Aaron Zobrist's severe ankle sprain.

Jerome Robinsons shoulder, which cost us the MVC tournament and a trip to THE DANCE. Jerome was our leading scorer. He could not lift his right, shooting arm, past shoulder level.
As a result we lost the final to the Sychs, who went to THE DANCE, and actually won a game!

Just think how close we were to missing the '06 tourney - and imagine the absolute rioting and uproar we'd have on this program right now if we did miss that.

Injuries are injuries. But we seem to be getting in too much trouble, police and NCAA-wise. Just in the past couple years, Franklin, POB, and Ray Brown have found trouble, and now Ruff with the police. This and the massive amounts of roster shuffling - guys coming and leaving without playing a game - and I'm worried.

Every year something ridiculous happenes to this team.

and yet through it all, Bradley has has back to back years that have been exceptional............22 wins each, and 2 postseason appearances, one with a Sweet Sixteen appearance.
Maybe, just maybe, this coach can get these kids to play above the adversity and the issues.
I think he can, I thought so each of the past two years when people posted endlessly that the sky was falling.
Too bad some of those people missed a couple pretty fine seasons and post seasons.

I think we should change our luck and it all would start by bringin Heemy back as an assistant coach.
