  • Thanks Braves Club

I just wanted to say thank you to any posters who are in the Braves Club, you guys have done a lot for students like me and I appreciate it. The soccer trips and the tickets to the Valley Tournament are just two of the things that have been provided by the Braves Club that have been phenomenal experiences. Thanks!

We have a large number of Braves Club members here on the BradleyFans board. So I'll speak for them and say that it is a pleasure to see the students at the games, and Bradley would love to see as many as possible in St. Louis. The Braves Club funds could not be better spent.

I encourage students to take advantage of the free ticket deal, and get together with several of your buddies, and make the trip to St. Louis. Either just for the day, or get a cheap hotel room in Collinsville, or one of the STL suburbs, and share the expense. If anyone needs help or advice with accomodations, post your concern or question here and someone will help you.

It will be one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences you'll have from your college days.

Does anybody know of any hotels that will rent to students that are 20 years old? We called numerous hotels close or in the downtown area and every one told us no. I would hate to have to make the drive to St. Louis everyday but if that is what it takes then so be it.

Try the hotels in Collinsville which are only 15 to 20 minutes away to the Scottrrade center.

I am a student and about 10 of us will be taking advantage of the free ticket deal, and we really appreciate it. We are all staying in collinsville, we are squeezing 3-5 people into a room, and paying $30-35 dollars a person.

Everyone should head down there for the tournament if possible. My roommates and I have been going every year since we started here in '04 and it's a fantastic tradition. There's nothing like seeing a 20,000+ facility with half red - half yellow/maroon/blue going crazy. This has become our favorite trip that we look forward to every year and I hope our final installment as students ends with a bigtime run.

I'll be down in StL, too. Luckily one of the guys coming with is from the StL area and I'm 21 this year . I'm expecting a big student turn out since we're hot and this is our shot to get in the NCAA. Does anyone know if students can get tickets before gameday? Last year it was chaos around the box offices and I'd rather just avoid that mess.

What ... you didn't enjoy the screaming match before the SIU game? In all seriousness, the chaos kinda got me pumped for the game ... and to answer your question, I'd guess no, because they don't want tickets going to waste if you don't show up. But you could always call the ticket office.

I went twice during my college binge and both times were really really enjoyable. It is a really unique atmosphere and always worth the time, money, and lose of my voice.
