I just watched OE throw up a three from the left wing and completely airball it. Why do other players shoot so much better against us? When we were there, he hit a couple from that spot.
Barring a miracle by Dana in Normal on senior night, 2nd place is now out of reach. Darn it. Well, let's aim for the death match and the rubber game with the Trees late on Friday.
ISU shot like absolute crap tonight, but credit to them for still pulling out the W. They were really tough on the defensive end and I think they only allowed E-Ville to have one or two offensive rebounds.
Well, so much for our glimmer of hope for second place, but we still control our own destiny for third. Again, let's make sure we take care of our home court and not look past Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
This is what, our fifth game against the Horizon League this year? Wow!

Well, 2nd isn't out of the question, it's just a little harder now. If we win out, that ensures that SIU and CU doesn't win out and ensures that we finish ahead of both of them via our tiebreaker advantage. It would then come down to ISU v SIU. If ISU loses that game, there's a 4 way tie for 2nd at 11-7 with BU winning the tiebreaker. In that scenario, ISU would drop all the way to 4th, playing Creighton in the 4-5 game. BU would be 2nd, and SIU would be 3rd by virtue of their wins over Drake.
Simply put, BU has to win out, and ISU has to lose out. If that happens, BU is 2nd. If we split we're likely playing Creighton on Friday afternoon.
I (warmly) welcome a 4/5 game and then the #1. Let ISU knock out SIU (IMO, the guard play of ISU along with Slack negating Falker knocks out SIU). If we can win our first two games, a "grudge match" with ISU on Sunday might find us winners of the MVCT.
