Someone correct me if this is wrong but if we win out and I know that is a huge IF because at Creighton is going to be very hard BUT if we win out and ISU loses 2 or 3 we could finish as high as second!! Had we lost tonigh we would have be in 7th with the tiebreakers!! PONDER THAT!!!!

You know, now that I think of it, would 21-13 and a Valley loss in the finals get us in? Who knows!

Yes...despite going 2-5 with DRuff out, and starting the Valley season 1-5, and losing down at ISU...there is yet a chance we could finish tied with ISU in the standing, and get the #2 seed by virtue of the tiebreaker or remotely possible we could actually still finish ahead of ISU if we win out and they lose all three tat Evansville, at SIU, and vs. Creighton.
BUT------it is still mathematically possible to fall to the 7th spot and play in on Thursday, but we'd have to lose our final two games, and UNI would have win all of their final three including at SIU.

It's close, but 13 losses and 7 alone in the MVC is too much absorbed.
I was being a bit hopeful, but had the Valley been ranked 5th or 6th, 7 loses would most likely at least get us in the discussion. And of course, had our conference had those three little letters BCS attached to it, there is no discussion. We would be in at this moment.

I think we're still a bit out of the at-large category. Not having AW for the rest of the games is going to hurt too. We still have very large problems with consistency.
I see the semi-finals as Drake vs. Bradley and ISU vs. SIU. SIU and Drake for the finals and dare I say it....SIU winning, Drake and ISU getting at large bids and Drake in the Sweet 16.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

So....I can cancel my reservations for Thursday night!!!Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.
