If anyone plans to tape this or Tivo it, any chance you could post on youtube, the interval of when Warren gets hurt? I'm unable to do so tonight. It happened so quick that I couldn't tell what exactly happened. For those that wasn't at the game, the injury happened in the 2nd half with roughly 10 minutes left.
If it happened with ten(ish) minutes left, I don't think that was wreckless coaching. Just a tough deal.
I don't believe so either, considering AW had only played 17 minutes.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
Well, the glass could tip either way. We were up by 28 with about 10 minutes left and CU was having tough times scoring however a few threes in a row without us scoring and it's a lot closer. 10 straight minutes with your reserves in is a lot of time i'll agree with.
I think the bigger issue is keeping your regulars sharp. I know they need rest (to say the least, at this point in the season), but when things are going well (after a couple tough games), I bet it's tempting to want to milk that for awhile and create as much positive momentum as possible.
I Tivo'd the replay but could not find the injury. He was in the game, there was a substitution pause, then he was gone. The injury did not show up on the game camera.
K thanks Ph, yeah it happened so quick. I looked to the left for a second and looked back to the right and hes writhing in pain holding his hand/wrist area. He was off the court and to the bench in probably 30 seconds or less. PJ Star reports that he got his hand caught in his jersey.

That would be impossible to get your hand caught in your own jersey. I mean c'mon... those things are selected to fit each individual (ie, T C-S doesn't wear the same size as DC). Just no way. And they have them tucked in so they aren't loose flopping all over.
Players never got their hands caught in their own jerseys back when Les and Hawkins played.

I just finished watching the tape of the game.
He did catch his hand in the Creighton players jersey and AW had the ball!
It was his off hand as he was fending off the defender at the top of the key. You could tell he favored it as he passed the ball. They didn't show him leave the court or even mention it on the broadcast.
It looked like a innocent play, very weird.

For anyone that has the game, I went back and watched it. It was with 10:30 left in the game. Warren is dribbling out top and starts to drive and fends off a Creighton guy with his left hand then passes the ball to Crouch which ends up in a jump ball. They don't show Warren leaving the court or even show Warren after he passed the ball. It really must have been a freak thing.
