They earlier signed a much higher rated juco power forward John Williamson, who plays the exact same kind of game as Sikes.

They also have a juco All American Cedric McGowan (former teammate of Will Franklin) who started 29 of 30 games as a power forward for Cincinnati last season (the only game he didn't start was senior day when he relinquished he starting position). He plays the same position as Sikes and Williamson, too.
And they have another returning power forward type, 6'9", 225 lb. Ronald Allen, a transfer from Xavier of New Orleans who was their top sub at the forward position last year.
So good luck Marcus. You are joining a rebuilding team (they lost their coach and their top 5 scorers), in the Big East, where Cincinnati finished 8-8 (8th place) last year, and will not be projected to be any higher this year. And yet, they appear to have 2 returning seniors and another highly rated recruit playing the same position in front of Sikes. I hope they find playing time for him.
Former Bradley recruit Marcus Sikes' shunned Bradley, where he would have been a starter immediately, and committed to Cincinnati. Cincinnati, as noted above, is loaded with forwards who play a similar game as Sikes, and who are higher rated.

Well, Sikes' position as a likely career backup at Cincinnati just became even more solid. In addition to the players who Cincinnati has returning, and the other incoming recruits who are rated higher than Sikes, Cincy just got a committment from Mike Williams, a 6'7" power forward transfer from Texas. Williams will have to sit out a year, then will have 2 years of eligibility left. He was a high school McDonald's All American and was the #18 rated player coming out of high school. He didn't play much at Texas because of their loaded lineup, but will likely move ahead of Sikes when he becomes eligible.

The frontcourt at Cincinnati just got even more crowded. Coach Mick Cronin just won another recruiting battle for the services of junior college stud Hernol Hall. Hall is rated as the #4 juco player, and #2 center.--

        #4 on Jucojunction's JuCo rankings--

Glad to see they are stockpiling the talent. Our win against them at RA this year will look good for our resume' in March!!!!

Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

Not being an ISU fan, I suspect you'll think I am kidding with this statement....but

In reality I seriously hope you guys do beat them this year, with their starters on the floor for the full 40 minutes.
It will help you, the entire Valley, and it might just send a message to all those kids who signed with Cincy that they should have maybe considered one of their Valley scholarship offers more seriously.

Hope they play on a day/night when BU isn't playing, so I can go to the game. That should be fun to watch!

I don't think you are kidding at all. Tornado, I respect you as a good Bradley fan and a smart basketball fan with knowledge. I see no reason why you WOULDN'T root for ISU in a non-con home game against a school from the elitist BCS. Much like I was pulling for BU in the NCAA's, I'm sure you'd root for the Redbirds against Cincy. You know a win for ISU helps the Valley.

I agree, too, I hope they are at full strength when we play them. I don't know if we'll win or not, but I think we have a fair chance. If we do get the "W" I want them to be at full strength when it happens, then I hope they go on to win the Big East outright.

If the 'Birds can win the game, the entire Valley would benefit from it. I hope the boys can make it happen. I will be there in the lower bowl next to the Student Section, cheering as loud as I can and hoping for a win.

Are there plans for the game to be televised on a network?

I don't know, but I doubt it. We had such a bad year last year so I doubt it would be on any type of TV other than MAYBE WMBD or maybe the Fox channel. I doubt it though.

I wouldn't even expect a Comcast or FoxSports Midwest to carry it.

                      Road trip!

As long as you guys cheer for the home team!!!! I would expect a good crowd for that game. It will be around the 1st week of December so students will be there. Should be well-attended.

Yep, but what about a U of I football game before then? We caught a rare U of I victory last year.
