Creighton loses to Evansville?????? We ought to be able to sweep them!
Looks like this may be the first year the #8 conference only gets one team into the NCAA Tournament, unless someone can take out Drake in the Valley tournament which certainly looks possible after tonight.

2 things...
1) In 2001, the #8 COnference Overall in the RPI got only 1 team in. The Mtn West was represented by #37 BYU. Next best in the Mtn West left out, Wyoming 58 and Utah 50 (in the RPI)
2) (and not directed at you personally) This Creighton loss IS a shocker. Especially for those who think "Good teams don't lose to play-in games in February"
Bradley now drops into 6th place and 2 games out of the play in game as we have the tie breaker over IN State.
What tie breaker does BU hold over Indy State? They split this season, so if they are tied, it goes to tiebreaker points. Last time I checked (before tonight's games) Indy State had more than BU. Of course tiebreaker points are bound to change several times before the end of the season.

You're right cpac, InSU would be ahead of BU in a tie right now ... but we're not tied with them, so it doesn't really matter right now. Look for my updated spreadsheet in a few minutes!

Thanks for the clarification Mac. I did not know there was a #8 ranked conference that got only one team into the tournament in recent years, but I guess if the Valley only gets one in this year, it would not be the first time. It still would be disappointing though, so hopefully someone can knock Drake out and win the Valley tourney (hopefully us).
I do know one thing after tonight though. Any at-large chances Creighton had are now up in smoke. Only ISU has a chance as a second at-large candidate now.

Yes, InSt still has a tough home game against Illlinois St, and one road game left at UNI. If they lose one of those two, I think Bradley will be in decent shape, though them losing both would clinch it for us (assuming we take care of business at home). Conversely, one road win for us along with defending our home court will also clinch it for us, so we still control our own destiny.
